How should I take Proctolog® (Ruscogenin, Trimebutine)?
Gently apply a small amount of ointment (by finger or nozzle) to the affected area up to three times daily.
- Wash hands with soap and water.
- Either squat or lie on your side with one leg bent and the other straight.
- Gently but firmly push the suppository into the rectum, pointed end first. If necessary, moisten the end of the suppository with a little water. Push it in far enough so that it doesn’t slip out.
- Close your legs and sit or lie still for a few minutes.
- Wash your hands again.
How do I store Proctolog® (Ruscogenin, Trimebutine)?
Proctolog® is best stored at room temperature away from direct light and moisture. To prevent drug damage, you should not store Proctolog® in the bathroom or the freezer.
