What is Biocalyptol® used for?

Biocalyptol® is commonly used for treating runny nose, sneezing, itching, and watery eyes caused by allergies, the common cold, or the flu.

How should I take Biocalyptol®?

For orally taken form, you should:

  • Take Biocalyptol® by mouth as directed by your doctor concerning: dose, schedule.

Products that may interact with this drug are:

  • Atropine (Atreza, Sal-Tropine)
  • Benztropine (Cogentin)
  • Topiramate (Topamax)
  • Zonisamide (Zonegran)
  • Anti-nausea medications such as belladonna (Donnatal), dimenhydrinate (Dramamine), methscopolamine (Pamine), or scopolamine (Transderm Scop)
  • Bladder or urinary medications such as darifenacin (Enablex), flavoxate (Urispas), oxybutynin (Ditropan, Oxytrol), solifenacin (Vesicare), tolterodine (Detrol), or Urogesic Blue
  • Bronchodilators such as ipratropium (Atrovent) or tiotropium (Spiriva)
  • Irritable bowel medications such as dicyclomine (Bentyl), hyoscyamine (Hyomax), or propantheline (Pro Banthine)
  • Ulcer medicine such as glycopyrrolate (Robinul) or mepenzolate (Cantil)

Biocalyptol® may interact with food or alcohol by altering the way the drug works or increase the risk for serious side effects. Please discuss with your doctor or pharmacist any potential food or alcohol interactions before using this drug.

What health conditions may interact with Biocalyptol®?

Biocalyptol® may interact with your health condition. This interaction may worsen your health condition or alter the way the drug works. It is important to always let your doctor and pharmacist know all the health conditions you currently have.

What should I do if I miss a dose?

If you miss a dose of Biocalyptol®, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take your regular dose as scheduled. Do not take a double dose.
