Vivacor side effects
Many people on Vivacor notice nothing at all. If something does change, this list shows what is usually mild and what needs a doctor.

- Aches in your thighs, shoulders or calves that keep coming back

Stop Vivacor and see a doctor the same day for
- Muscle pain or weakness you can't explain, especially with fever or cola-coloured urine
- Yellow skin or eyes, or very dark urine
- Strong pain high in the belly that spreads to the back
Swelling of the face or throat, or trouble breathing: call 999 or go to the nearest emergency department.

About Vivacor
Vivacor is a prescription rosuvastatin tablet that lowers LDL, the cholesterol that builds up in artery walls. Doctors prescribe it with diet and exercise to cut the chance of heart attack and stroke.

Taking Vivacor
Both are the same medicine. 20mg lowers LDL further and is used when your doctor wants a lower target. Keep to the strength on your prescription; only your doctor should change it.
Take it when you remember, unless your next dose is less than 12 hours away. In that case skip it. Never take a double dose.
Either is fine. Swallow it whole with water, with or without food, at about the same time each day.
Safety
The ones people mention most are headache, muscle aches, tummy pain, constipation, nausea and tiredness. Most are mild and ease with time. Unexplained muscle pain with weakness or dark urine needs a doctor the same day.
Keep alcohol light, as heavy drinking strains the liver. Some supplements and herbal products can interact with statins, so show your doctor or pharmacist everything you take.
