Sex is fun, but it can cause great stress if the condom gets stuck inside you. Although it’s not common for a condom to slip and stay in your vagina, you still need to do learn how to deal with it in case you get too excited.

Keep calm

If a condom gets stuck inside, it most certainly will be nowhere further than the passage between your vaginal canal and cervix. So, there’s really no need to freak out. Just take a deep breath and move on to the next step.

Pull it out with your fingers

First, wash your hands and make sure even your nails are squeaky clean. If you have long nails, trim them before reaching down there. If you can feel the condom inside you, you probably can reach it.  Try grabbing it and pulling it out by yourself first.

Ask for help

If you have had no luck retrieving it yourself, you should ask your partner for help. It may be easier for him to do that than for you. When it comes to things that happen in bed, in order to get it done, you’ll have to ask.

Squat

Lying down won’t be of much help. You may need to try the squatting position which makes it easier for the condom to go out. Perhaps, gravity might be a bit helpful in this case.

One foot on the floor and the other on a chair

Squatting doesn’t work? Try this position: Stand on the floor and place on foot on a chair. Then bear down and push the intruder out.

Pay your gynecologist a visit

If you can’t get the condom out with the methods mentioned above, it’s high time you paid your doctor a visit. To your surprise, a gynecologist deal with stuck condoms quite often. You will not be the first one to require this kind of medical attention. And, don’t beat yourself over it. There’s nothing wrong with you or your vagina for this thing to happen. It’s an accident and it can occur to anyone. It’s not your fault or your partner’s.

Know your risk

It’s worth mentioning that once the condom gets stuck inside you, you are at risk of STDs and pregnancy for obvious reasons. So, if having a baby is not on the top of your to-do-list, it’s best to get emergency contraception. Also, don’t forget to get tested for STDs. Early diagnosis and treatment is the key to managing STDs live a healthy life.
