Gastric antrum inflammation or antral gastritis is an autoimmune problem that can cause a lot of discomfort. The word antrum refers to any hollow space in the body, such as the stomach.   • Stress and pregnancy: Some of the causes that contribute to gastritis are stress that causes a disturbance to the natural biological speed, nutritional conditions like unbalanced nutrition, irregular nutrition, eating poor quality food, drinking a lot of strong liquor, smoking, abusing dishes that contain emulsifiers in products and preservatives. Up to 75% of pregnant women get this condition.

How is gastric antrum inflammation diagnosed?

The doctor will be able to check if you have antral gastritis by asking out your medical history, checking your symptoms, and some tests will be also recommended by your doctor such as blood tests and doing an endoscopy.

How is gastric antrum inflammation treated?

  • Increase your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables like dates, eggplant, tomatoes, and green leafy vegetables.
  • Avoid alcohol.
  • Consider switching pain relievers.
  • Manage stress by doing yoga or meditation.
