Everyone has different reactions to stress. Some feel as if there is no way out, imprisoned in a maze of heap-up stress, while others can find ways to relieve stress easily. Do you know that job stress can exert a negative effect on your heart? In fact, the excessive stress can be a precursor to high blood pressure, asthma, ulcers, and other health conditions.

Do You Have Job Stress?

Let’s get down to some signs of job stress. Job stress usually goes with elevated blood pressure, rapid heartbeat and sweat in your palms. You feel like you are worn out and encompassed in a feeling of fatigue most of the time. Stress can also take a toll on your behaviors, so anything can easily fuel your anger. You may find it hard to fall asleep or concentrate. You easily come down with a cold and face difficulty getting rid of it. If your job inflicts you with these signs, you are more likely to have a heart attack.

Stress and Your Heart

Stress can actually influence factors that can raise the risk of heart disease, such as smoking, overeating, levels of cholesterol, high blood pressure. People, for instance, usually indulge themselves with a pint of ice-cream or additional glasses of wine as a way to relieve stress, while some others seek alcohol or cigarettes. These habits, nevertheless, can give your blood pressure a boost, which can gradually wear out the artery walls.

When you are stressed, your body begins to release adrenaline and cortisol; these hormones have the function to aid you in helping you focus having the job done but is the cause of, though temporary, the elevated blood pressure and the accelerated breathing and heart rate. More evidence is still needed to determine the association between stress and heart disease, but the excessive intake of alcohol caused by constant stress can leave behind severe consequences.

Managing Stress

First of all, you need to explain the issue to your boss and suggest a solution. You can ask your boss to provide you more time to have your task finished, ask him or her for more training to get into a different role. By doing this, you can alleviate your depression, anxiety, and blood pressure.

There are many ways you can try to relax after a period of working hard. You can participate in sports, savour the pleasure of reading the book of your zest, spend some time on meditation, talk to your friends or try anything that cheers you and enhances your life.

In your off-hours, throw yourself, body and soul, into your cherished hobby. One thing, however, to bear in your mind that no matter what you do, try to evaporate your thinking about work.

Do not smoke and drink alcohol or coffee excessively. Gift yourself a delicious diet loaded with healthy foods. And remember to maintain a positive spirit.
