What is Stresam® (etifoxine) used for?

Stresam® is commonly used for eliminating the anxiety, fear, inner tension, irritability, mood reduction (including on the background of systemic diseases, especially cardiovascular nature).

How should I take Stresam® (etifoxine)?

For orally taken form, you should:

  • Take Stresam® bymouth as directed by your doctor concerning: dose, schedule.
  • Read the label carefully before using Stresam®.
  • Consult your doctor for any information on the label that you do not clearly understand.

How do I store Stresam® (etifoxine)?

Stresam® is best stored at room temperature away from direct light and moisture. To prevent drug damage, you should not store Stresam® in the bathroom or the freezer. What is the dose of Stresam® (etifoxine) for an adult?

Recommended doses in some cases are usually 50 mg (1 capsule) 3 times per day or 100 mg (2 caps), 2 times per day. The course of treatment typically is from a few days to 4-6 weeks.

What is the dose of Stresam® (etifoxine) for a child?

It is not recommended to use the drug in children and adolescents under the age of 18 years.

How is Stresam® (etifoxine) available?

Stresam® is available in the following dosage forms and strengths:

  • Capsule 50 mg, 100 mg

What should I do in case of an emergency or overdose?

In case of an emergency or an overdose, call your local emergency services or go to your nearest emergency room.

What should I do if I miss a dose?

If you miss a dose of Stresam®, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take your regular dose as scheduled. Do not take a double dose.
