Lipanthyl® is commonly used for treating high cholesterol and high triglyceride levels. It may be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with or without food, swallow whole.
Lipanthyl® is best stored at room temperature away from direct light and moisture. To prevent drug damage, you should not store Lipanthyl® in the bathroom or the freezer. There may be different brands of Lipanthyl® that may have different storage needs. It is important to always check the product package for instructions on storage, or ask your pharmacist. For safety, you should keep all medicines away from children and pets.
You should not flush Lipanthyl® down the toilet or pour them into a drain unless instructed to do so. It is important to properly discard this product when it is expired or no longer needed. Consult your pharmacist for more details about how to safely discard your product.

Recommended Dose:
1 tab (145 mg) once daily. Patients currently taking Lipanthyl® one 200-mg cap or one 160-mg tab can be changed to one 145-mg tab without further dose adjustment.
The use of the 145-mg tab is contraindicated in children.
Lipanthyl® is available in the following dosage forms and strengths:
In case of an emergency or an overdose, call your local emergency services (115) or go to your nearest emergency room.
If you miss a dose of Lipanthyl®, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take your regular dose as scheduled. Do not take a double dose.
