Gentrisone Cream is commonly used for bacterial infections, relief of itching, burning, cracking, and scaling associated with athlete’s foot, jock itch and ringworm, bacterial infection, prevention of oral thrush, fungal infections of vulva, autoimmune reactions and other conditions. Gentrisone cream may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Gentrisone Cream works by inducing synthesis of the certain anti-inflammatory proteins; inhibiting synthesis of certain inflammatory mediators; inhibiting the growth of fungi; inhibiting the growth of bacteria.

How should I take Gentrisone Cream?

Use Gentrisone cream as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions. Gentrisone cream is for topical use on the skin only.

Clean the affected area with soap and water and dry thoroughly. Apply a thin layer of medicine to the affected area. Rub it in gently. Do not cover unless directed to by your doctor. Wash your hands immediately after using Gentrisone cream, unless your hands are part of the treated area.

To clear up your infection completely, use Gentrisone cream for the full course of treatment. Keep using it even if you feel better in a few days. Do not miss any doses.
