A lot of things can get in your way of reaching sexual climax. You may be too busy to have sex properly – all the foreplay, kissing and caressing take too much time. It’s possible that your partner doesn’t pay enough attention. Or, your dog just keeps interfering, asking for a treat. For women, the biggest obstacle on their way to pleasure is their wandering mind. While men are all in when it comes to sex, women tend to think too much, losing the focus on the fun.

Fortunately, meditation can have you stay focused. Sex experts believe meditation is effective in reducing stress and help you be more mindful about your body. It boosts your energy level, arouses you, and help you live in the moment.

How meditation works

Many people unconsciously avoid sex due to physical exhaustion from stress. As meditation reduces stress and anxiety by decreasing the stress hormone cortisol, you’ll get into a better mood easier, be more ready for sex and reach more orgasms.

Stress puts pressure on your body, inhibiting your senses. When you are stressed, things taste and smell not as good as they actually do. That’s probably why people with anxiety often lose their appetite. This works the same for the sensation receptors down there. Stress makes sex feel less good. Meditation trains your brain to slow down and focus on what’s important at the moment.

It takes time for meditation to work. The effects accumulate over time. So, if you meditate every day, you’ll probably see improvements sooner. It’s better to take a class so you have a professional to keep you on the right track. However, if you don’t have the time or money for that, frequently practicing on your own is fine. Here are some tips to help you kick-start your day with a meditation session:

Tips for beginners to meditate for more orgasms

  • Sit in an upright position and have something to support your back
  • Focus on your breaths
  • Use the word “one” as an anchor to concentrate
  • After doing that for 5 minutes, think about things to be grateful for in your life.

If you have just started, keep the meditation short or you may lose your patience and get frustrated. Also, you can practice mindfulness by focusing on the sounds, images, and scents surrounding you. Do this while you are walking or showering. Appreciate all the physical sensation. If you are distracted during sex, you can use this technique for a minute to improve your concentration before getting back to the game.
