Daily yoga has become a habit of many people. Exercising yoga can bring relaxation, maintain flexibility, promote beauty and especially good for the brain. Starting practicing any discipline is always very difficult and you will make many mistakes on the way. Here are some of the most common mistakes when practicing yoga that you should note.

Overtraining

An error that beginners in practicing yoga regularly makes is overtraining. You should pay attention to your body and limit your practice when you feel overwhelmed. Listening to your body is most important yoga lessons. Do not push your body too much during training to achieve the desired results because that can lead to injuries. Everyone has different abilities when making difficult posture. Over-pushing our body is one of the first mistakes to avoid.

Skip recovery and relax

One of the most serious mistakes is to ignore recovery and relaxation at the end of training. Your body needs to be relaxed to have time to recover after exercise. After any type of practice, skipping recovery will only increase your risk of getting an injury. Relax after each pose or practice session will help your breathing back to normal rhythm and allow your body to heal.

Eat before training

Whether you work out at home or at the gym, you should not eat before practice yoga. But only a snack before exercising 1 hour is fine.

Hold your breath for too long

Focusing on your breathing is important in yoga. The natural instinct is to hold your breath longer while practicing more difficult positions, but it is a mistake to avoid. When you exercise, your heart beats faster and your working muscles require much more oxygen. Breathing provides oxygen to the muscles. It is absolutely important that your muscles get enough oxygen while you practice.

You should breathe in through your nose and exhale through the mouth. Trying to breathe naturally rather than being breathless or trying too hard to hold your breath. Just relax and breathe slowly.

Trying hard posture without training

You need to practice yoga regularly and gradually to achieve a technical understanding as well as the flexibility and balance to hold a more advanced pose. Do not be impatient to perform difficult positions too early, since it will cause injury.

Get distracted during practice

Please ensure that your body and your mind stay focused entirely on practicing yoga. Yoga involves many balance poses, if you lose focus, it is likely that you will slip and fall. Moreover, a large part of yoga is meditation and controlling your body energy. You need to focus on the present to be able to feel your body energy. When you are distracted, your performance will be more challenging and unfruitful.

Ignoring the safety precautions

Some advanced yoga poses can cause harm if you ignore the requirements of health and safety conditions. People with medical conditions should be more cautious during yoga practicing. For example, handstand positions cannot apply to people who have symptoms of migraines, high blood pressure or spondylosis.

Yoga can bring pleasure to those who practice it, but you should pay attention not to push your body to the extreme.
