Being active throughout the day can keep you from many health problems concerning obesity, high blood glucose, high blood pressure as well as offer you your desirable body shape. How can we increase our activeness by simple gestures?

Below are some helpful tips that will help you burn up your calories without going to the expensive gym.

At work

There are multiple ways for you to burn up some fat while serving a sedentary life.

  • Using stairs instead of the elevator can be a good cardio exercise.
  • After one or two hours of working, it is important to get up from your seat and take a few walk around your office or do some simple stretching exercises.
  • Being mobile as much as possible: go out for lunch, get off a stop earlier and walk to the office if using public transportation.

At home

You can also be active by doing your favorite sports or hobbies, such as walking your dog, playing with your kids. Besides, simple chores like vacuuming, dishes cleaning, and dusting are also applicable. You can take this as a chance to do some yard work (mowing the lawn, raking leaves) and clean up your house (unboxing and removing old boxes). Finally, you can combine doing exercise while watching your favorite shows or start moving around if it is time for commercials.

While you are out and about

Being active can sometimes take times and effort. For example, you can park at a far corner of a shopping mall in order to walk for a longer distance; try to move around every corner of the grocery store; walk up and down through an airport terminal when there is a delay; and on a road trip, it is advisable to get off your car after one or two hours driving and do some stretching exercises.
