7 Basic Symptoms of Breast Cancer

Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in the world. Compared to other cancers, breast cancer is the most common cancer in women. If breast cancer is found early, the ability to cure is up to 90%. Therefore, early detection of breast cancer symptoms is very important and the disease usually appears the following signs.

Pain in the breast or chest area

Breast soreness or pain in the breast area are signs may be related to breast cancer. Patients with an acute pain felt like a mild electric current goes from left to right chest breast. In particular, women over age 50 have breast pain need to get tested for cancer. Breast pain symptoms rarely occur in people over the age of menopause and because it may be due to the development of cancer causes.

Tumors in the breast

There are nodes in the armpit

Swiping from the breasts upwards along the hollow arm, you will see emerging nodes in the armpit, and this is the first stage of breast cancer. If you discover tumors or pain in the armpit weeklong without knowing any cause, you should see a doctor immediately.

Change shape, nipple discharge

Tumors often appear below the nipple, it can cause changes in the shape of the nipple. This makes the nipple slip inside and flatter. Also, if fluid discharge from the nipples is red like blood, this is a very dangerous sign because you are at risk for breast cancer.

Back pain, shoulder pain

Women with breast cancer feel the pain usually occurs in the upper back or between the shoulder blades. This phenomenon is caused by tumor development towards the ribs and spine, it will create more of a back pain in the breast.

Breast swelling, redness

Chest swelling, redness, or even purple, irritated, rough skin could be the signs of inflammatory breast cancer. Breasts can be sore accompanied by fever. This symptom is caused by a tumor pushing on the compression of the breast tissue to be sore. For early detection of breast cancer, you should go to the doctor immediately if any of the above symptoms, especially for women 40 and older should have a clinical breast exam at least once a year at health facilities.

Late symptoms

When breast cancer starts to spread throughout the body and begin to affect other organs, the late signs and symptoms are bone pain, accumulation of fluid around the lungs (pleural hydrocephalus), nausea, loss of appetite, jaundice, weight loss, etc.

Not all of these are symptoms of breast cancer. However, if you have any of these above symptoms, you should go to the doctor as soon as possible for better diagnosing. Do not be afraid, the advancement of science and awareness of cancer screening have helped prolong the survival time, improve the quality of life and effectively cure the disease for many cases.
