Basen® is an oral antidiabetic medication used to lower postprandial blood glucose levels (postprandial hyperglycemia) in people with diabetes mellitus. It is an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor that delays the digestion and absorption of sugar.

Basen® tablets are orally administered in a single dose of 0.2 mg three times a day, just before each meal.
