What are Steroids?

There are lots of form of corticosteroids, such as pill or liquid, nasal spray, inhaler, shot, skin cream, IV injection.
Moreover, side effects also happen based on your dose and how long you take corticosteroids. With short-term using, they may cause puffy face, acne, weight gain, nausea, mood swings, sleeping problems, unusual hair growth, and blood pressure. Besides, your body may get serious side effects, including muscle weakness, eye problems, higher risk of diabetes in long-term of using. Also, when you use the drug more than 3 months, they may cause brittle bones which can break easily. With those kids who take corticosteroids in long-term can grow slower than others.
Anabolic-androgenic steroids (anabolics): what you need to know?
Many people call anabolic-androgenic steroids as anabolics. They are male sex hormones that help build bigger muscles. They are commonly used for stimulating the production of testosterone in human. Also, your doctor may suggest you take the drug because of cancer, AIDS, or other conditions. This drug is taken by mouth or injected into a muscle.
Furthermore, anabolics also cause side effects when using, such as bad acne or fluid retention, and lead to stop the production of testosterone in your body. In men, they might cause smaller testicles, lower sperm counts, breast growth and infertility. For women, side effects can be male-pattern baldness, irregular periods, facial hair growth and a deeper voice. And for teens, anabolics can affect their bone growth and height.
For long-term using, they might damage your liver, heart, and kidneys, especially for those people who use in high doses, they lead to extreme mood swings, anger, and aggression.
If you want to take steroids, consult your doctor for more information. They will give some advice based on your conditions for the best result. However, if you are using, do not stop abruptly, because it could lead to fatigue, restlessness, or depression.
