Turn on the lights in the room or increase the intensity of them. You are more likely to feel sleepy in environments with dim lighting. That is why you should turn off the lights when you go to bed. Bright light can help you fight against sleepiness and make you feel more alert.

Daylight can help influence your sleep-wake cycle. You should spend time outside, such as doing exercises, walking around the park, or go to the balcony for fresh air.
