Common Disorders Can Be Seen on Your Child


Every child has to go through diseases and disorders, at least once since the day they were born. As parents, more or less of you must feel anxious and worry when your child being ill. In fact, sickness is not always a bad condition that you have to worry about. Diseases play an important role in activating children’s immune system. In other words, when your child recovers from an illness, it means their immune systems are stronger than they were. But it also fine to know some of the disorders. This article will list few common diseases can be seen on your child.

Bronchitis or Pneumonia


  • Respiratory Syncytial Virus infection (RSV). This type of virus can cause bronchitis or pneumonia in both children and adults. However, children with weak immune barrier can easily be attacked by RSV. The percentage of 40 of cases relative RSV infection lead to long-term wheezing which can cause serious bronchitis or pneumonia
  • Low temperature
  • Cold food or drinks can also be a reason
  • Long-term air-conditioning


 The symptoms are usually mistaken by common cold such as

  • Fever, which may be mild or high
  • Cough (with some pneumonia child may cough up greenish or yellow mucus, or even bloody mucus)
  • A runny nose.
  • Shortness of breath


  • Self-recover. It’s important for your child to develop his own immune system.
  • Remove all the risk factors
  • Use antibiotics. Antibiotic administration must be targeted to the likely organism, bearing in mind the age of the patient, the history of exposure, the possibility of resistance (which may vary, depending on local resistance patterns), and other medical histories.


Parts of the youngster skeleton are ear system which develops incompletely. The small auditory canals and short eustachian tubes are easy to be penetrated by bacteria. Therefore, they’re vulnerable and susceptible to infection, inflammation.  There’re several types of ear inflammation such as external otitis, otitis media, internal otitis.


  • Eczema or psoriasis
  • If the ear is damp for a long period
  • Bacteria penetration
  • After ear surgery


  • Itching and intense or severe pain in the auditory canal and ear lobe
  • A slight flow of yellow liquid may sometimes be observed
  • In the most serious cases, the ear may be red and the patient may suffer from fever and dizziness
  • Disturb sleep


  • Ear drops
  • Oral analgesia to reduce the pain
  • Oral antibiotics in some cases
  • In some case, the doctor can put a small tube through the eardrum to drain off the pus.

In case of serious pain, you should take your child to consult the doctors as soon as possible.

Dental caries (Tooth decay)

    It is undeniable that children are attracted by sweet stuff like candies, cakes, soft drinks, etc. Thus, one of the most common disorders seen in kids is dental caries.


  • Bacteria use the sugar to ferment and produce acidic environment which destroys the tooth cement
  • Feeding practices
  • Socioeconomic factors


  • Brown or black spots on the teeth
  • Bleeding or swollen gums
  • Fever, swelling or irritability, which could indicate infection
  • Bad breath

If your child shows any of these symptoms, it’s imperative to see a dentist as soon as possible. If decay spreads, your child could face extensive restoration treatments and even tooth loss.


  • Limiting acidic foods
  • Limiting juices, especially citrus juices
  • Substituting water for juice, formula or milk in your child’s bottle
