What is Vasobral® (Caffeine, Dihydroergocryptine Mesylate) used for?
Vasobral® is commonly used for management of fatigue, orthostatic hypotension, and for the short term treatment of apnea of prematurity in infants.
Vasobral® is often combined with analgesics or with ergot alkaloids to treat migraine and other headache types. Over the counter, Vasobral® is available to treat drowsiness or mild water-weight gain.
How should I take Vasobral® (Caffeine, Dihydroergocryptine Mesylate)?
Take Vasobral® inside meals (during meals, with a little water).
How do I store Vasobral® (Caffeine, Dihydroergocryptine Mesylate)?
Vasobral® is best stored at room temperature away from direct light and moisture. To prevent drug damage, you should not store Vasobral® in the bathroom or the freezer. There may be different brands of Vasobral® that may have different storage needs. It is important to always check the product package for instructions on storage, or ask your pharmacist. For safety, you should keep all medicines away from children and pets.

Using this drug during pregnancy may lead to a decrease in the lactation. Caffeine contained in the product can cause a sleep disorder, tachycardia.
Is it safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

What should I do if I miss a dose?
If you miss a dose of Vasobral®, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take your regular dose as scheduled. Do not take a double dose.
