What is Tazocin® (piperacillin/ tazobactam) used for?

Tazocin® is commonly used for treating moderate to severe infections caused by certain bacteria.

How should I take Tazocin® (piperacillin/ tazobactam)?

Intra-abdominal Infection

3.375 g IV every 6 hours; 4.5 g IV every 8 hours has also been used.

Peritonitis

3.375 g IV every 6 hours; 4.5 g IV every 8 hours has also been used.

Skin or Soft Tissue Infection

3.375 g IV every 6 hours; 4.5 g IV every 8 hours has also been used.

Endometritis

3.375 g IV every 6 hours; 4.5 g IV every 8 hours has also been used.

What is the dose of Tazocin® (piperacillin/ tazobactam) for a child?
