What is Pediasure® (Formulas) used for?

The Pediasure family of products is a source of complete, balanced nutrition designed especially for children 1 to 13 years of age. It is clinically proven to help kids grow.

Pediasure® products, when used in appropriate amounts with the appropriate patients, may be used as a sole source of nutrition or as a supplement.

How should I take Pediasure® (Formulas)?

To make one serving, mix a certain amount of Pediasure® powder (depend on what type you are using) with an amount of water. The rest should be stored in freeze at 2-4⁰C not exceed 24 hours. Remember just to use the measure spoons attached with products.

How do I store Pediasure® (Formulas)?

Pediasure® is best stored at room temperature away from direct light and moisture. To prevent drug damage, you should not store Pediasure® in the bathroom or the freezer. There may be different brands of Pediasure® that may have different storage needs. It is important to always check the product package for instructions on storage, or ask your pharmacist. For safety, you should keep all medicines away from children and pets.

You should not flush Pediasure® down the toilet or pour them into a drain unless instructed to do so. It is important to properly discard this product when it is expired or no longer needed. Consult your pharmacist for more details about how to safely discard your product.

• It does not contain Gluten and Lactose.
• Do not use for children with Galactosemia.
• Do not re-warm with microwave.

Is it safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

There are no adequate studies in women for determining risk when using Pediasure® during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Please always consult with your doctor to weigh the potential benefits and risks before taking Pediasure®. Pediasure® is pregnancy risk category A, according to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

What is the dose of Pediasure® (Formulas) for an adult?

2-3 servings a day depend on each the nutrition need of an individual.

What is the dose of Pediasure® (Formulas) for a child?

In general, it is recommended one serving per day for children 1 to 6 years of age and two servings per day for children 7 to 10 years of age. However, if your child is a fussy eater, it may be recommended that he or she consumes two to three servings.

How is Pediasure® (Formulas) available?

Pediasure® is available in the following dosage forms and strengths:

• Powder oral and tube feeding.

What should I do in case of an emergency or overdose?

In case of an emergency or an overdose, call your local emergency services (115) or go to your nearest emergency room.

What should I do if I miss a dose?

If you miss a dose of Pediasure®, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take your regular dose as scheduled. Do not take a double dose.
