What is Fortrans® used for?

Fortrans® is a medicinal product under sachet form, which contains Macrogol-4000 64g, KCl 0.75g, saccharin Na 0.1g, Na bicarbonate 1.68g, NaCl 1.46g, anhydrous Na sulphate 5.7g.

It is commonly used for clearing of bowels in preparation for endoscopic, radiological exam, and colonic surgery.

How should I take Fortrans®?

For orally taken form, you should:

  • Dissolve 1 sachet in 1l of water. 3-4l of oral solution are required to obtain an effective lavage. Solution can be taken with or without food.
  • Take Fortrans® bymouth as directed by your doctor concerning: dose, schedule.
  • Read the label carefully before using Fortrans®.
  • Consult your doctor for any information on the label that you do not clearly understand.

How do I store Fortrans®?

Fortrans® is best stored at room temperature away from direct light and moisture. To prevent drug damage, you should not store Fortrans® in the bathroom or the freezer.
