What is Extra Deep Heat® (methyl salicylate) used for?
Extra Deep Heat® is commonly used for temporary relief of minor aches and pains caused by arthritis, simple backache, strains, sprains, and bruises. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
How should I take Extra Deep Heat® (methyl salicylate)?
Use exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
Make sure your skin is clean and dry before you apply methyl salicylate topical.
Do not apply methyl salicylate to open wounds, or to skin that is sunburned, wind burned, dry, chapped, or otherwise irritated.
When using Extra Deep Heat®, apply a thin layer to the affected area and rub in gently until completely absorbed.
How do I store Extra Deep Heat® (methyl salicylate)?
Extra Deep Heat® is best stored at room temperature away from direct light and moisture. To prevent drug damage, you should not store Extra Deep Heat® in the bathroom or the freezer.
