What is Basen® (viglobose) used for?
Basen® is an oral antidiabetic medication used to lower postprandial blood glucose levels (postprandial hyperglycemia) in people with diabetes mellitus. It is an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor that delays the digestion and absorption of sugar.
This medicine may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
How should I take Basen® (viglobose)?

What is the dose of Basen® (viglobose) for an adult?
Basen® tablets are orally administered in a single dose of 0.2 mg three times a day, just before each meal.
If the effect is not sufficient enough, the single dose may be increased up to 0.3 mg, under close observation of the course of disease.
What is the dose of Basen® (viglobose) for a child?
