What is A+D® Original Ointment used for?

A+D® Original Ointment is commonly used at every diaper change to help prevent diaper rash, especially at bedtime when exposure to wet diapers may be prolonged.

A+D® Original Ointment helps to protect and helps relieve chapped, chafed or cracked skin and lips; forms a protective barrier to help seal out wetness.

A+D® Original Ointment may be prescribed for other uses; ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information

How should I take A+D® Original Ointment?

Follow all directions on your prescription label.

Do not take this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.

For skin irritation use: Apply liberally as needed.

For diaper rash use: change wet and soiled diapers promptly; cleanse the diaper area, and allow to dry; apply ointment liberally as often as necessary, with each diaper change, especially at bedtime or anytime when exposure to wet diapers may be prolonged.

For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes; if this occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
